[News] ADMT Lab's new logo revealed on Friday

The new logo of the Advanced Data Management Technologies Laboratory was revealed on Friday August 31st, 2007. The revelation was done in the form of t-shirt worn by the group member's at the Computer Science Department annual picnic.

[News] Huiming Qu successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation

Student member of the group Huiming Qu successfully defended her Ph.D dissertation on Friday, August 31st 2007. The subject of her defense was "Managing Query and Update Transactions under Quality Contracts in Web-Databases". More details can be found in the event's post here.

[News] Prof. Panos Chrysanthis is back from his one-year sabbatical in Cyprus

Welcome back Panos! Prof. Panos Chrysanthis is back to his office, returning from his visiting professorship at the Computer Science Department at the University of Cyprus. He is back in action working long hours on his research and teaching (as usual) as well as providing his services to the Computer Science department as the new (returning) Chair of the Graduate Program.

[News] Mohamed Sharaf successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation

Student member of the group Mohamed Sharaf successfully defended his Ph.D dissertation last Friday, June 22nd 2007. The subject of his defense was "Metrics and algorithms for processing multiple continuous queries". More details can be found in the event's post here.

[News] Prof. Alex Labrinidis appointed Editor in Chief of ACM SIGMOD Record.

Alexandros Labrinidis has recently been appointed Editor in Chief of ACM SIGMOD Record, the official newsletter of ACM's Special Interest Group on Management of Data, currently in its 36th year of circulation. Congrats Alex!

[News] Prof. Panos Chrysanthis named senior IEEE member

Panos K. Chrysanthis was recently named senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Inc. Senior membership is the highest professional grade in the IEEE, and is conferred upon only 7 percent of the institute's membership. Congrats, Panos!
