Constantinos Costa (Ph.D., University of Cyprus, Cyprus) was a Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. His PhD thesis, titled ‘Algorithms and Indexing Structures for Spatial Big Data’, proposes algorithms and indexing structures to minimize the query response time and increase the storage efficiency of Spatial Big Data architectures using compression, data decaying, indexing with multiple levels of spatio-temporal resolutions and efficient spatial query operators.
