Biography
Vasilis Sarris is a PhD Student in Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh where he is advised by Dr. Panos K. Chrysanthis. His current research interests lie primarily in databases systems and his recent work focuses on making worst-case optimal join algorithms suitable for cloud environments. In addition to his role as a PhD student in the ADMT Lab, Vasilis was also:
- advised by Dr. Panos K. Chrysanthis while completing his M.S. Project titled ASTRO-C: Congestion-Based Indoor-Outdoor Path Finding in April 2023.
- advised by Dr. Panos K. Chrysanthis while completing his B.S. Capstone titled ASTRO-K: Finding Top-k Sufficiently Distinct Indoor-Outdoor Paths in April 2022.
