The workshop proceedings will be published by ACM. Electronic versions of the papers will be included in the ACM DL and DiSC'06. All submissions will be handled electronically at http://db.cs.pitt.edu/mobide05

For every paper submission, authors must submit an abstract and the full paper by March 24th, 2005 (12:00 midnight Pacific Standard Time - PST). Please note that there is no earlier deadline for abstracts.

Abstracts should be in plain text (max. 200 words) and should be accompanied by a set of keywords. Full papers must be in PDF form. Both abstract and paper should be submitted using Microsoft's Conference Management Tool located at https://msrcmt.research.microsoft.com/MobiDE05.

Full papers should be in the ACM proceedings format: at most 8 double-columned pages in 9pt font. The ACM formatting guidelines are located here (see Option 2: Alternate Style). The format of your submission must be for US Letter printing (8.5 by 11 inches). Note that A4 is not equivalent to US Letter.

In addition to regular papers, we are also soliciting:

• Vision Papers
  Vision papers will be judged differently (mostly for their potential to stimulate lively discussions and influence future research on open challenges). As such, vision paper submissions should be marked differently by including VISION: as the first word of their title. For example, a vision paper entitled "Mobile Data Access for iPod swarms" should be renamed to "VISION: Mobile Data Access for iPod swarms". This change should be reflected both in the information about the paper submitted via the online interface and also on the paper itself.

  Vision papers should have the same format as regular papers and be up to 6 pages.

• Panel proposals
  Depending on the number of regular/vision papers accepted, we may be able to allocate time in the workshop program for one panel. As such, we are also soliciting high-quality panel proposals to complement the MobiDE'05 program and act as a catalyst for exciting discussions among participants.

  Panel proposals should not exceed 3 pages including a summary of the topic and the names and affiliations of the panelists. Please submit panel proposals directly to the Technical Program Committee co-chairs via email at .
