Purpose: The focus of this seminar course is on recent advances on Data Management. It aims to expose participants to the state-of-the-art in in-memory data management on new memory architectures and cloud infrastructures, with emphasis on the new data processing paradigm when the volume of updates is essentially too high for regular database systems to keep up with.
Prereq: Graduate status and familiarity with graduate level database/OS/network courses, or permission of the instructor.
Enrollment: max 18 students
Textbook: There is no textbook for this class. Instead, we will examine research papers from recent conferences and journals. The papers will be made available on the web page
